About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEND Teaching Assistant to join our team at a Primary School in Leeds. As a key member of our staff, you will play a vital role in supporting the educational and personal development of our students with special educational needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide individualized support to students with SEND, promoting their inclusion and participation in classroom activities.
  • Assist teachers in delivering catch-up sessions and ensuring students receive the support they need to succeed.
  • Help create a safe and inclusive learning environment, fostering a sense of belonging among all students.
  • Collaborate with teachers and other support staff to develop and implement individualized education plans.
Requirements
  • Recent experience working in an education setting, preferably with students with SEND.
  • Good numeracy and literacy skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with students, teachers, and parents.
  • A Level 2/3 qualification (CACHE, Childcare, NNEB, etc.) or relevant experience.
  • Ability to work under the guidance of the classroom teacher and as part of a team.
