What Skills and Experience We're Looking For

We are seeking an experienced teaching assistant to join our team as we continue to expand our bespoke inclusion unit within the school. The successful candidate will work alongside a SEND teacher and the school's SENDCo to provide targeted support to pupils with complex SEND needs. This is an exciting opportunity for the right person to take a key role in our provision.

  • Enthusiasm for creative learning activities
  • A passion for developing personalised learning opportunities to meet specific needs
  • Experience of working with a range of complex SEND needs within a specialist or mainstream setting
  • Skills and enthusiasm for working with children with SEMH needs
  • Knowledge of the EYFS and KS1 curriculum and other related incremental target setting documents such as EYFS Developmental Journals and/or Bsquared
  • The ability to work well with other professionals/outside agencies to implement/deliver/assess recommended programmes of work and contribute to statutory reviews
  • The highest expectations of themselves and their pupils
  • Excellent interpersonal and organisation skills
  • Experience of working proactively, with empathy, in teams
  • Flexibility, sense of humour and a 'can do' attitude
