Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Engineer to join our team at AWE Plc. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our mechanical systems.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in mechanical engineering, with experience in maintenance and repair of complex equipment. You will be required to work independently and as part of a team to resolve technical issues and ensure that all tasks are completed safely and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Carry out routine maintenance tasks to prevent equipment failure
  • Investigate and diagnose technical issues
  • Perform repairs and replacement of mechanical components
  • Work with other departments to resolve technical issues
  • Ensure compliance with safety procedures and regulations

Requirements:

  • Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent qualification
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in a similar role
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical systems and principles
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
  • Able to work at heights and in confined spaces

Salary and Benefits:

The salary for this position is £30,000 - £45,000 per annum, depending on experience. We also offer a range of benefits, including generous workplace allowances and opportunities for overtime at an enhanced rate.

Working Pattern:

AWE operates a 9-day working fortnight, with opportunities for flexible working arrangements. This role is based at our site in RG7 4PR, which offers free onsite parking.
