About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Head of Financial Operations to join our team at Aila Recruitment. As a key member of our finance department, you will be responsible for managing the day-to-day financial operations and providing financial insights and guidance to drive business growth and profitability.

Key Responsibilities
  • Financial Planning and Analysis: Collaborate with the Head of Growth, Head of Sales, and Head of Operations to gain a deep understanding of the business channels and provide analysis and insights on sales channel performance to drive revenue, profitability, and efficiencies.
  • Financial Modeling and Forecasting: Develop and maintain financial models, manage and update the cash flow forecast, and lead the preparation of the month-end management accounts process.
  • Financial Reporting and Analysis: Prepare and review monthly accruals, prepayments, FAR, and similar accounting entries, and balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Business Partnering: Work closely with the CFO and other senior stakeholders to improve financial performance, inform key business decisions, and optimise operational efficiency and strategic initiatives.
Requirements
  • Qualifications: Qualified Commercial Accountant with 2-3 years' post-qualification experience.
  • Experience: Previous experience in a product/stock-based business is essential (preferably a consumer brand).
  • Skills: Strong problem-solving skills, commercially curious mindset, demonstrable business partnering experience, strong understanding of data analysis, and excellent communication and presentation skills.
