Bodycote is a leading provider of heat treatments and specialist thermal processing services, serving a wide range of industries worldwide. We are seeking an IT Operations Technical Analyst to join our team based in Macclesfield.

Main Responsibilities:

  1. Resolve incidents and requests in line with ITIL-based processes and agreed business service levels.
  2. Deliver IT support and troubleshooting for Bodycote facilities and end users in a predominant Windows environment.
  3. Monitor and manage Bodycote infrastructure in the field.
  4. Identify areas of improvement and implement corrective action to enhance Group IT Service Delivery.
  5. Engage in new and upcoming IT-related projects relating to upgrades and service improvement.
  6. Represent Group IT within the business and deliver world-class customer service.
  7. Collaborate with a global Bodycote Group IT presence supporting over 4,500 IT users.

Required Qualifications, Experience, and Skills:

  1. Broad knowledge of Windows Server and Client operating systems, with a strong technical background in Microsoft technologies.
  2. Familiarity with mobile operating systems (Android and iOS).
  3. Knowledge of backup technologies and data safeguarding practices.
  4. Understanding of networking fundamentals (LAN, WAN, Switches).
  5. Experience with anti-virus technologies, preferably Sophos.
  6. Working knowledge of ITIL-based processes.
  7. Awareness of current technology trends and developments.
  8. Flexible approach and excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  9. Ability to maintain a professional attitude when interacting with customers, suppliers, and colleagues at all levels.
  10. Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  11. Excellent active listening and analytical skills.

Desirable Experience and Skills:

  1. Minimum of 5 years' experience in a customer-facing role supporting a complex Windows-based environment.
  2. ITIL Foundation Level certification.
  3. Experience with Microsoft cloud-based technologies, such as Office 365 and Entra ID Administration.
  4. Knowledge of Asset Management and Mobile Device Management technologies, such as Intune.
  5. Relevant certifications, such as MCSE, MCSA, or MCDST.
