Job Title: Infrastructure Engineer

We are seeking an experienced Infrastructure Engineer to join our team at Qualient Technology Solutions UK Limited.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Desktop Management Support: Create and manage user accounts, assemble and configure desktops, and provide technical support for desktop-related issues.
  • Operating System Patch Management: Ensure timely patching of operating systems to maintain security and stability.
  • Desktop Services Monitoring: Monitor and troubleshoot desktop services to ensure optimal performance.
  • Support Data Movement: Assist with data movement requests between desktops.
  • Networking and Firewall Management: Configure and manage network settings, firewalls, and VPNs.
  • VMWare Management: Manage virtual machines, storage, and networking.
  • SAN and Disk Management: Configure and manage storage area networks and disk storage.
  • Hardware Asset Management: Track and manage hardware assets, including inventory and disposal.
  • Servers Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance tasks on servers, including backups and restores.
  • Desktop Technical Faults 1st Line Support: Provide initial support for desktop-related technical issues.
  • Backup and Restore: Ensure timely backups and restores of critical data.
  • Capacity Management and Server Tuning: Monitor and optimize server performance and capacity.
  • License and CERT Management: Manage software licenses and certifications.
  • Automate Manual Work: Identify opportunities to automate manual tasks and implement solutions.
  • Problem Diagnosis and Support: Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues in a timely manner.
  • Software Tools Installation and Management: Install, configure, and manage software tools.
  • Enable Environment with Puppet Framework: Use Puppet to automate and manage infrastructure.
  • Flexibility to Travel: Be prepared to travel to remote locations as required.
