About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated individual to join our team as a Project Officer - Carer Support. This exciting opportunity will play a key role in the implementation of the Carers (Scotland) Act 2016 across North Highland.

As a Project Officer, you will be responsible for providing support to unpaid carers in Highland, working closely with NHS Highland, Highland Council, and partner agencies to ensure that carer services are provided in accordance with legislative requirements and best practice principles.

You will have a proven track record of enabling carer engagement and be effective in the design, commissioning, delivery, monitoring, evaluation, and review of carer strategies and carer support services.

The successful candidate will have excellent communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with a range of stakeholders, including carers, healthcare professionals, and partner agencies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide support to unpaid carers in Highland, working closely with NHS Highland, Highland Council, and partner agencies
  • Design, commission, deliver, monitor, evaluate, and review carer strategies and carer support services
  • Enable carer engagement and work effectively with a range of stakeholders
  • Develop and maintain effective relationships with partner agencies and stakeholders
  • Contribute to the development of policies and procedures related to carer support
Requirements
  • Proven track record of enabling carer engagement and delivering high-quality services
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively with a range of stakeholders, including carers, healthcare professionals, and partner agencies
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
