About the Role

Celestra is seeking a skilled IT Network Configuration Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our IT department, you will be responsible for configuring and optimizing network devices, including routers, switches, access points, and IP phones.

Key Responsibilities

  • Configure and test network devices to ensure optimal performance
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement network changes
  • Configure and optimize hardware to meet network requirements
  • Resolve general device faults through troubleshooting and remote/direct access
  • Perform troubleshooting and diagnostics where required
  • Update and maintain detailed documentation for all network configurations
  • Manage personal tasks in line with the schedule of work
  • Perform quality control checks in line with departmental expectations, raising concerns where applicable
  • Provide technical support for hardware-related issues and incidents
  • Verify deployments and perform handover to operations tests

Requirements

  • Experience in the IT sector, configuration, or EPOS sector with exposure to a multitude of networking, hardware, and software deployments
  • Technical knowledge of Wireless Technologies and general Wireless principles
  • Strong understanding of network protocols and services
  • Relevant certifications such as Cisco Certified Support Technician (CCST), CompTIA Network+ or a demonstration of working towards, a Bachelors degree in information technology, Network Administration, or a related field
  • Proficiency in configuring and troubleshooting networking devices
  • Excellent verbal and written English communication skills, able to communicate concisely and clearly at all levels with both internal and external customers
  • Physically adaptable and capable, recognising the physical elements of the role
  • Good understanding and working knowledge of modern Windows operating systems
  • Ability to work to a high level of concentration while performing repetitive or basic configuration tasks
  • Excellent attention to detail, time management and self-motivation
