Key Responsibilities:
* Design and implement tailored lessons that meet the individual needs of students with special educational needs, ensuring lessons are accessible, engaging, and aligned with the national curriculum.
* Create a supportive, structured, and safe learning environment that promotes positive behavior and social-emotional development.
* Regularly assess student progress, both academically and behaviorally, and provide detailed reports to parents, carers, and school leaders.
* Work closely with teaching assistants, SEN specialists, and external agencies to ensure that students receive appropriate interventions and support.
* Ensure the health, safety, and welfare of all students, adhering to school policies, safeguarding protocols, and national SEN guidelines.
* Maintain open communication with parents and guardians, providing updates on student progress and addressing any concerns or additional needs.
Requirements:
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS): A fully qualified teacher with certification recognized in the UK.
* SEN Experience: Proven experience teaching students with special educational needs, with a strong understanding of strategies to support various SEN types, such as ASD, ADHD, and learning disabilities.
* Strong Communication Skills: Ability to communicate effectively with students, parents, and multidisciplinary teams.
* Adaptability and Patience: Ability to adapt teaching methods and materials to suit the individual needs of students in a calm and patient manner.
Desirable (not necessary):
* Postgraduate qualifications or training in Special Educational Needs.
* Experience working in a specialist SEN school or similar setting.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
