Assistant Food and Beverage Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Assistant Food and Beverage Manager to join our team at the Radisson Blu Hotel Durham. As a key member of our Food and Beverage Service Team, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional service to our guests and ensuring the smooth operation of our food and beverage departments.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support the smooth running of the food and beverage departments, ensuring all aspects of the guest food and beverage service experience are delivered to the highest levels.
  • Work proactively to improve guest satisfaction and comfort, delivering a positive and timely response to guest enquiries.
  • Deliver on plans and objectives, ensuring food and beverage initiatives and hotel targets are achieved.
  • Supervise the food and beverage team, fostering a culture of growth, development, and performance within the department.
  • Accountable for ensuring costs and inventory are controlled, productivity and performance levels are attained.
  • Build and maintain effective working relationships with all key stakeholders.
  • Take the lead to deliver departmental programmes that advance service standards, profitability, and cost control.
  • Ensure adherence and compliance to all legislation, performing due diligence requirements and best practice activities for internal and external audit.
Requirements:
  • Experience in food and beverage service.
  • Strong supervisory and managerial skills with a hands-on approach and lead-by-example work style.
  • Commitment to delivering exceptional guest service with a passion for the hospitality industry.
  • Ability to find creative solutions with proven problem-solving capabilities.
  • Personal integrity, with the ability to work in an environment that demands excellence, time, and energy.
  • Experience of working with IT systems on various platforms.
  • Strong communication skills.
