Wellbeing Support Specialist

We are seeking a Wellbeing Support Specialist to join our team at North Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service.
The successful candidate will provide confidential psychological support and counselling to individuals within NYP, NYFRS and the OPFCC, promoting their wellbeing and mental health.
About the RoleThis is a part-time position of 21 hours per week, working Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday. The salary for this role is £35,000 - £45,000 per annum, depending on experience.
As a Wellbeing Support Specialist, you will be part of a dedicated team who deliver an effective wellbeing support service. You will contribute to the development, promotion, and review of all initiatives for managing health at work, including a psychological screening service for high-risk roles.
- Provide a professional and confidential support and counselling service to individuals within the organisation.
- Engage in the delivery of proactive programmes, working collaboratively with colleagues and managers to explore options and develop proactive solutions to enhance the wellbeing of employees.
- Provide support and management information to assist with future planning of the service and assessment of the impact of staff care provision.
To be successful, you will hold a qualification in either counselling or psychotherapy to at least Diploma level or equivalent. You will also have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, able to effectively cope with the pressures of providing psychological counselling support across all organisations.
