Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Commercial Waste Sales Officer to join our team at CRA GROUP LIMITED. As a Commercial Waste Sales Officer, you will be responsible for obtaining new commercial waste customers and retaining existing ones in the borough of Thurrock.

Key Responsibilities
  • Advise business owners on their responsibilities regarding commercial waste and recycling, and obtain new business opportunities in accordance with our pricing structure.
  • Strategically sell and retain commercial waste customers to achieve realistic revenue objectives.
  • Work closely with the Contracts & Business Development Manager to contribute to the continuous improvement of our Commercial Waste Services and wider Environment portfolio.
  • Develop and implement initiatives to add value to our services and maximize the customer base against private competitors.
  • Ensure that our service operates within the Council's regulatory framework, including financial and human resource standards.
  • Represent the Council in a professional manner when interacting with clients and deliver Commercial Waste services.
  • Investigate complaints and conduct follow-through actions to deal with causes of genuine complaints.
Requirements
  • A full UK driving licence and access to a car.
  • Excellent communication and sales skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
