Colorectal Surgeon

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Colorectal Surgeon to join our team at Northampton General Hospital NHS Trust. As a Consultant in General Surgery, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality patient care and contributing to the development of our Colorectal Service.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver high-quality patient care, including the management of urgent colorectal cases, in collaboration with other Consultant Colorectal Surgeons.
- Contribute to the development of the Colorectal Service, including Gynaecology Oncology, and participate in the day-to-day management of the service.
- Ensure full submission of data to the Somerset database, in line with national recommendations.
- Participate in the management of the Department of Surgery and contribute to the development of clinical governance policies and procedures.
- Participate in teaching and training programs for medical staff, medical students, and other hospital employees, including the introductory teaching program for Foundation doctors in Surgery.
