Colorectal Surgeon

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Colorectal Surgeon to join our team at Northampton General Hospital NHS Trust. As a Consultant in Colorectal Surgery, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality patient care and contributing to the development of our Colorectal Service.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver high-quality patient care, including the management of urgent colorectal cases, and contribute to the development of our Colorectal Service.
- Share responsibility for the colorectal service with other Consultant Colorectal Surgeons, including day-to-day management of urgent cases.
- Ensure full submission of data to the Somerset database, in line with national recommendations.
- Participate in the management of the Department of Surgery and contribute to clinical governance, including participation in effective clinical audit and continuing medical education.
- Contribute to teaching programmes for medical staff, medical students, and other hospital employees, including the introductory teaching programme for Foundation doctors in Surgery.
