Job Overview
Bournemouth Borough Council seeks an experienced Children and Family Support Worker to join our team. This role plays a vital part in supporting the well-being of children and families across our community.

About the Role
This is a permanent position, working 37 hours per week, with 42 weeks' employment each year (term time plus three additional weeks). The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering early pastoral, behavioral, English as an Additional Language (EAL), and Special Educational Needs and Disability (SEND) interventions. They will also provide preventative support, guidance, and advice to improve outcomes for children, young people, and families within a school context.

Key Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality support services to children and families
- Collaborate with pupils, families, and other agencies to address needs and concerns
- Develop and implement effective strategies to improve outcomes for vulnerable groups
- Contribute to the overall vision and values of the school through teamwork and partnership-working

Requirements
- Passion for helping children and families thrive
- Knowledge and experience in working with children and families, including safeguarding
- Ability to build on existing good practice in the school
- Empathy, sensitivity, and resilience
- Excellent communication skills and a sense of humor

Salary Information
The estimated salary for this position is £25,000 - £35,000 per annum, based on the national average for similar roles in the UK.
