About the Role:

We are seeking an Outreach Youth Worker to provide essential support to primary and secondary students with emotional, social, and educational needs.

  • Provide emotional support by listening to and understanding the challenges young people face, including family issues, peer pressure, mental health concerns, and academic stress.
  • Help young people develop important life skills, such as problem-solving, decision-making, time management, goal-setting, and communication.
  • Foster self-esteem and self-worth by offering encouragement and helping students recognize their strengths and talents.
  • Act as a positive role model, demonstrating behaviours, values, and attitudes that encourage young people to emulate.
Responsibilities:

The successful candidate will provide individualised support to students in community venues or residential settings, depending on the individual needs of the student.

  • Build strong relationships with students to gain a deeper understanding of their day-to-day experiences.
  • Offer guidance to support students in engaging with positive activities.
  • Help students build confidence, improve social skills, and reintegrate into education settings.

Estimated salary: £20 per hour. Working days: Monday to Friday (term time only). Flexible hours: between 9:00 AM and 4:30 PM. Age group: Key Stage 1-4. Specialist provision: SEN, SEND, SEMH, Behavioural, Medical.
