NELFT North East London Foundation Trust is seeking an experienced Occupational Therapist to join our Integrated Children's Service in Waltham Forest.

This exciting role offers the opportunity to work as part of a multidisciplinary team, providing specialist children's services to children and young people with disabilities.

Job Summary

We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Occupational Therapist with a strong background in social care to join our team. The successful candidate will have experience in recommending home adaptations for access, independence, and safety, as well as supervising junior staff and students.

About the Role

The Occupational Therapist will be responsible for carrying out home assessments to identify barriers to children and young people's participation in activities of daily living and identifying solutions, including potential onward referral for major adaptations, equipment provision, support with packages of care, and signposting.

The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills and be able to work closely with the health OT team and the broader multidisciplinary team (MDT) to deliver an excellent service and support children and young people to achieve their potential.

Requirements
  • Degree or Diploma in Occupational Therapy
  • Current HCPC registration
  • Minimum 2 years relevant experience of working in social care, with evidence of work responsibilities appropriate to the role
  • 3 years post-graduate experience in Occupational Therapy
  • Experience of recommending home adaptations for access, independence, and safety
What We Offer

We offer a competitive salary of £43,041 - £69,747 per annum, depending on experience, plus a High Cost Area Supplement of 15% of the basic salary (£6,406 - £10,442 pro rata for part-time).
