Job Overview

Linden Lodge School is a leading provider of education for children and young people with complex needs, including profound and multiple learning difficulties, sensory impairment, physical disability, and complex medical needs.

We are seeking a highly skilled Occupational Therapist to join our integrated, multi-disciplinary therapy team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing specialist occupational therapy provision to support the needs of our pupils.

About the Role

As an Occupational Therapist at Linden Lodge, you will work closely with our teaching staff, families, and carers to implement occupational therapy strategies and approaches. You will provide hands-on therapy services, ensuring high-quality assessment, treatment, and advice to our pupils and their families.

You will have the opportunity to contribute towards and support ongoing service development within our growing therapy team. We offer a supportive environment, commitment to CPD, and a protected training budget to ensure your professional growth.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide specialist occupational therapy provision to support the needs of our pupils.
  • Work closely with teaching staff, families, and carers to implement occupational therapy strategies and approaches.
  • Develop and maintain effective relationships with colleagues, stakeholders, and external agencies.
  • Contribute towards and support ongoing service development within the therapy team.
Essential Qualifications and Experience

We require:

  • A recognised Occupational Therapy degree qualification or equivalent.
  • Registration with the Health Care Professions Council (HCPC) and a valid Licence to Practice.
  • Experience working as an Occupational Therapist with children and young people, including experience of assessing, diagnosing, and implementing appropriate management plans.
  • Evidence of continuing professional development and advanced training in occupational therapy for children and young people with complex neurodevelopmental disabilities and sensory impairment.
