Technical Sales Professional

At Process Instruments, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Technical Sales Engineer to maximise sales of our water quality analysers across the UK. The successful candidate will be responsible for targeting and securing new customers and business opportunities, building strong relationships, negotiating contracts, writing tenders and proposals, networking at conferences and industry forums, and providing effective handovers to the Project Delivery Team.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and mentor junior staff members to ensure they are equipped with the necessary skills and knowledge to succeed in their roles.
- Ensure the technical accuracy of proposals and tenders, providing expert guidance and support to ensure our solutions meet the needs of our customers.
- Provide feedback to the Product Development Team on customer needs and market trends, ensuring our products remain at the forefront of the industry.
- Collaborate with other departments for seamless project delivery, working closely with our Project Delivery Team to ensure successful project outcomes.
- Stay up to date with industry trends and competitor activities, providing expert insight and guidance to the team.
About You
We are looking for a proven technical sales professional with experience in business development and securing new business. You will have excellent negotiation and relationship-building skills, with the ability to travel extensively across the UK. A valid driving licence is also essential. This role may also be referred to as Senior Technical Sales Executive, Sales Engineer, Technical Sales Manager, or Senior Instrumentation Sales Engineer.
