Job Overview:

Kent and Medway NHS & Social Care Partnership Trust is a leading provider of mental health, learning disability, and specialist services in the UK. We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Consultant Psychiatrist to join our Liaison Psychiatry Service, providing high-quality clinical care to patients referred to our service.

About the Role:

This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated and dedicated professional to work in a dynamic environment, providing expert psychiatric care to patients and contributing to the strategic development of our services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage clinical complexity and uncertainty
  • Provide professional leadership to the medical team
  • Participate in continuous professional development
  • Act as a Responsible Clinician (Approved Clinician status) for patients detained under the MHA

Requirements:

  • MBBS or equivalent medical qualification
  • Fully registered with the GMC with a licence to practise
  • Included on the GMC Specialist Register OR within six months
  • Approved clinician status OR able to achieve within 3 months of appointment

What We Offer:

We offer a competitive salary range of £110,000 - £150,000 per annum, depending on experience.
