**Job Overview:**

We are seeking an experienced Consultant Psychiatrist to join our team at Kent and Medway NHS & Social Care Partnership Trust. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of others while advancing your career.

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality psychiatric care to patients referred to the Liaison Psychiatry Service
  • Provide professional leadership, including clinical supervision, to the medical team and lead the Liaison Multidisciplinary Team
  • Foster effective liaison between mental health services and the acute hospital, as well as other agencies in the voluntary and statutory sectors
  • Act as a Responsible Clinician (Approved Clinician status) for patients detained under the MHA within the acute trust

Requirements:

  • MBBS or equivalent medical qualification
  • Fully registered with the GMC with a licence to practise
  • Included on the GMC Specialist Register or within six months
  • Approved clinician status or able to achieve within 3 months of appointment
