Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Consultant Psychiatrist to join our multidisciplinary team in the Kent All Age Eating Disorder (AAED) service based at The Courtyard, Maidstone.

This is a substantive, full-time post - 10 PAs with 7 weeks annual leave. You will work alongside another full-time substantive Adult Consultant Psychiatrist and a multidisciplinary team.

Main Responsibilities
  • Work as part of multidisciplinary teams providing care to patients with eating disorders across all ages, focusing on adult patients.
  • Provide senior medical support to the team and direct input on clinical cases.
  • Guide and supervise the team, work directly with adults (and their families), and liaise with other external adult mental health providers and acute hospitals.
  • Develop links with local acute trusts A&E departments and inpatient wards to improve services.
  • Commit to collaborative working and liaison with other health and social professionals and agencies.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Full GMC registration with a licence to practice.
  • CCT or equivalent qualification.
  • Section 12 Approval or eligibility for it.
  • Approved Clinician status, or eligibility for it.
  • Inclusion in, or eligibility for inclusion in the Specialist Register or within 6 months of obtaining CCST.
Salary and Benefits

The estimated salary for this role is £92,000 - £104,000 per annum, depending on experience. As a member of the NHS, you will also receive a comprehensive benefits package, including pension scheme, healthcare, and opportunities for professional development.
