Senior Eating Disorders Specialist

About the RoleThis is an exciting opportunity to join our multidisciplinary team as a Consultant Psychiatrist in the Adult Mental Health Service. You will work closely with colleagues to provide high-quality care to patients with eating disorders across all ages, focusing on adults.
You will be responsible for providing senior medical support to the team, direct input on clinical cases, guidance, and supervision. Your role will also involve working alongside other health professionals, collaborating with local acute trusts' A&E departments and inpatient wards to improve services.
To succeed in this position, you must have an essential understanding of current developments in mental health care. Your commitment to collaborative working and supporting other health professionals will be key to your success.
Key Responsibilities- Work as part of a multidisciplinary team to provide care to patients with eating disorders
- Provide senior medical support to the team and direct input on clinical cases
- Develop links with local acute trusts' A&E departments and inpatient wards to continually improve services
To be considered for this role, you must have an excellent understanding of eating disorders and experience in managing complex cases. Your ability to work collaboratively with other health professionals and provide clear guidance and supervision will be essential.
You will need to have or be willing to obtain necessary qualifications and licenses to practice as a Consultant Psychiatrist. Our ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, be passionate about improving patient outcomes, and be committed to ongoing professional development.
