As a Consultant Psychiatrist in Liaison Psychiatry, you will be responsible for delivering a high-quality clinical service and actively involved in the strategic development of the team and broader services. Based at Tunbridge Wells Hospital and Maidstone Hospital in Kent, this is a unique opportunity to make a real difference to the lives of others.

The salary for this position is estimated to be around £80,000 - £110,000 per annum, depending on experience. In addition to your salary, you will also receive a range of benefits, including a Recruitment Bonus of up to £15,000 and financial support for relocation of up to £8,000.

About the Role

This role involves providing psychiatric care to patients referred to the Liaison Psychiatry Service, as well as providing professional leadership and clinical supervision to the medical team. You will also be responsible for ensuring effective liaison occurs between mental health services and the acute hospital, and with other agencies in the voluntary and statutory sectors as appropriate.

Key responsibilities include:

  • To provide psychiatric care to patients referred to the Liaison Psychiatry Service.
  • To provide professional leadership including clinical supervision to the medical team.
  • To ensure effective liaison occurs between mental health services and the acute hospital.
