About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Financial Analyst to join our Capital Delivery Directorate team at Thames Water. As a key member of our finance team, you will play a critical role in supporting annual planning, forecasting, reporting, and analytics.

Key Responsibilities
  • Financial Reporting and Planning: Support the development and implementation of financial reporting and planning cycles, including budgeting, forecasting, and planning.
  • Financial Analysis and Modelling: Develop and implement analytical standards for reporting and modelling Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) with a view to automation.
  • Internal Control Framework: Support in establishing and maintaining an internal control framework to ensure the accuracy and reliability of financial reporting.
  • Financial Advice and Guidance: Provide advice and guidance on all financial reporting matters to senior leadership and executives.
  • Ad Hoc Analytics: Respond to ad hoc requests for analytics to provide support to business partners for costs visibility, business case preparation, and investigation into financial performance.
  • External Reporting Requirements: Monitor external reporting requirements and research accounting issues to drive business efficiencies.
Requirements
  • Accounting Qualification: Hold an accounting qualification (ACA, CIMA, CPA, CMA, CHAE, or equivalent).
  • Experience with SAP: Have experience with SAP and strong modelling and solid database skills.
  • Planning Systems and Reporting Technology: Have experience with planning systems and reporting technology.
  • Financial and Analytical Experience: Have financial and analytical experience.
What We Offer
  • Competitive Salary: Competitive salary from £55,000 - £62,500 per annum, depending on experience.
  • Annual Leave: 26 days holiday per year increasing to 30 with the length of service (Plus bank holidays).
