Children and Young People Care Specialist

We are seeking experienced individuals to join South Tyneside Council as Residential Childcare Officers.
As a Residential Childcare Officer, you will be responsible for providing high-quality care and support to children and young people in a residential setting. This includes transporting them to school or appointments, cooking meals, and encouraging participation in local activities and hobbies.
You will also be responsible for maintaining accurate records, care plans, and risk assessments, and for communicating effectively with colleagues, families, and other professionals.
The ideal candidate will have a Level 3 or 4 qualification in Children and Young People (or equivalent) and previous experience of direct work with children and young people.
Our competitive salary is £27,711 per annum, plus enhancements and allowances. You will also benefit from a package of support and personal and professional development opportunities.
