About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Mental Health Specialist to join our team in South Gloucestershire. As a Primary Mental Health Practitioner, you will play a key role in delivering early intervention services to children and young people. Your expertise will be invaluable in assessing and formulating the mental health needs of our clients.

The successful candidate will have experience of providing consultation and/or training to professionals, with a strong understanding of evidence-based therapies. You will be able to work effectively with children, young people, and families from diverse backgrounds, promoting positive outcomes and supporting their mental wellbeing.

With a post-graduate level qualification in a relevant field, you will possess the skills and knowledge to deliver high-quality services. This is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic team and make a real difference in the lives of our clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • To upskill and support Families Plus staff by providing specialist mental health consultation, reflective space, training, advice, support, and liaison.
  • To assess and formulate the mental health, emotional, and psychological needs of children and young people accessing Families Plus.
  • To provide brief intervention where indicated to children, young people, and their families, including attending multi-agency meetings.

Requirements:

  • Post-qualification experience of delivering evidence-based therapies to young people and families in CAMHS.
  • Experience of providing consultation and/or training to professionals.
  • Formal post-graduate level qualification in a relevant field (e.g., CYP-IAPT training, AMHP, CBT, Brief Therapy).

Working Arrangements:

This is a job share opportunity, working 3 days per week. You will be based at the Kingswood Hub, Alma Road, Kingswood, Bristol BS15 4DA.

Salary: £54,000 - £66,000 per annum.
