About the Role:
">We are recruiting for an Educational Mental Health Practitioner to join our team at Avon & Wiltshire Mental Health Partnership NHS Trust. As an Educational Mental Health Practitioner, you will be working in educational settings to provide therapeutic support to children and young people experiencing mild to moderate mental health difficulties.
">Key Responsibilities:

- Deliver outcome-focused interventions in educational settings for children and young people experiencing mild to moderate mental health difficulties.">
- Work collaboratively with children, young people, their families, and educators to develop care plans and implement evidence-based interventions.">
- Support children, young people, their parents/carers, and families to make informed choices about interventions.">
- Operate from an inclusive values base recognizing and respecting diversity.">
- Acknowledge referrals within educational settings according to agreed local and national protocols.">
- Undertake and record accurate assessments of risk and operate clear risk management processes in line with locally agreed procedures.">
- Adhere to regulations, processes, and procedures within the educational service attached to the postholder's role.">
- Signpost referrals of children with more complex needs to a locally identified appropriate relevant service.">
- Escalate cases where the level of need or risk is beyond the scope of practice through case management, supervision, and other relevant local pathways.">
- Provide information and support for evidence-based psychological treatments, primarily guided self-help.">
- Attend multi-disciplinary and multi-agency meetings relating to referrals or children and young people in treatment.">
- Keep clear, professionally coherent records of all activity in line with both health and education service protocols.">
- Complete requirements relating to data collection and assess transitions, education, and training/employment into the overall therapeutic process.">
- Apply learning gained on the training program directly to practice.">
- Contribute to the development of individual or group clinical materials or training materials.">
- Prepare and present case load information to supervisors on an agreed and scheduled basis.">
- Implement supervision suggestions by supervisors in practice.">
- Engage in personal development supervision to improve competences and practice.">
Person Specification:
">We are seeking candidates with experience working with children and young people who have social, emotional, and/or behavioural difficulties. A further relevant degree qualification is desirable.
">Salary:
">The estimated salary for this role is £28,000 - £35,000 per annum.
">Location:
