We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Senior Mental Health Consultant to join our team at Avon & Wiltshire Mental Health Partnership NHS Trust. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing clinical leadership to our multidisciplinary team, working closely with other Consultants, Nurses, Occupational Therapists, and Social Workers to deliver high-quality care to our service users. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is passionate about making a difference in the lives of those affected by mental illness.
Key Responsibilities- To provide clinical leadership to the Middle Workstream alongside a full-time Senior Practitioner.
- To deliver direct interventions to service users at a level of intensity according to need, including those who require an assertive approach and are difficult to engage.
- To supervise the medical team that provides medical care and act as Responsible Clinician for service users in Supervised Community Treatment, in collaboration with other teams and Consultants.
- To be responsible for the mental health care of service users, monitoring and evaluating service delivery and care through regular reviews.
We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced individual who possesses excellent leadership skills, strong communication abilities, and a commitment to delivering high-quality patient care. The ideal candidate will have:
- Ambitious salary £85,000 - £110,000 depending on experience
- Fully registered with the GMC with a licence to practise at the time of appointment.
- Included on the GMC Specialist Register or within six months of gaining CCT.
- Approved clinician status or able to achieve within 3 months of appointment.
- Approved under S12 or able to achieve within 3 months of appointment.
