We are seeking a highly skilled Area Sales Manager to join our team, who will be responsible for developing a customer-focused territory business plan within a defined geographical region. The successful candidate will be responsible for growing existing customer relationships, increasing brand awareness, and managing customer prospects in line with new business targets.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement a territory business plan to drive profitability and growth
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with customers and suppliers
  • Understand market trends and articulate the drivers
  • Forge and maintain strong working relationships with all stakeholders
  • Make confident decisions and negotiate effectively
  • Communicate and present effectively, both verbally and in writing
  • See issues from the customer's perspective and engage with customers

Requirements:

  • Strong experience and background in sales, with industry knowledge preferred
  • Ability to build and maintain key relationships with customers and suppliers
  • Understanding of market trends and ability to articulate the drivers
  • Ability to forge and maintain strong working relationships with all stakeholders
  • Commercially aware, with a strong understanding of financial and profit models
  • Confident decision-maker with strong negotiation skills
  • Effective communicator and presenter, with strong verbal and written skills
  • Ability to see issues from the customer's perspective and engage with customers
