About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Senior Nutrition Scientist to join our research team at Stockport NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing and conducting research studies to investigate the relationship between diet, lifestyle, and health outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Study Design and Conduct: Design and conduct remote trials to address scientific hypotheses related to our commercial offering, and propose research questions to investigate the relationship between diet, lifestyle, and health outcomes using data from our research platforms.
  • Analysis and Dissemination: Design analysis plans for RCTs and health outcomes measured through our app, and contribute to the dissemination of research through high-impact publications and public engagement activities.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with product teams, scientists, and data scientists to translate our scientific findings into compelling user features in our app and across our products, and think through the user experience journey when interpreting existing data to gather additional information to advance personalisation of dietary advice.
  • Team Leadership: Coach junior team members on scientific analysis methods, and take ownership and project manage studies/lead team initiatives to pre-agreed deadlines and budgets.
Requirements
  • Education: PhD awarded in nutrition, epidemiology, public health, or other related quantitative discipline.
  • Experience: At least 2 years postdoctoral research experience combined with professional working experience in health-tech, consumer health, wellness, or life-sciences industries.
  • Publications: Demonstrable record of publications in peer-reviewed conference proceedings/scientific journals.
  • Skills: Statistical analysis skills relevant for data collected from large observational cohorts and randomised controlled trials, including expertise in using statistical software (e.g., R, SAS, SPSS).
