Role Overview
We are seeking a seasoned Nurse Manager to lead our team at Wytham Lodge, an exciting new care home in Burnley. This is an excellent opportunity for a Registered Nurse with leadership aspirations to progress into a management role.
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a team of nursing and care colleagues, driving quality, and maintaining high standards of care on their designated unit. With a strong focus on person-centred nursing care, this role offers the chance to make a real difference in the lives of our residents.
- Main Responsibilities:
- Lead the care and nursing teams to ensure medical, physical, and emotional needs are met.
- Maintain and develop high standards of care through continuous improvement.
- Oversee clinical elements and risks within the unit.
- Ensure timely completion and review of care plans and risk assessments.
- Act as Named Nurse for allocated residents, overseeing their care profiles.
- Manage medication ordering, handling, storage, administration, recording, and disposal within the unit.

You will be a natural leader with the ability to motivate and inspire your team. Essential skills include:
- A thorough understanding of best practice in nursing care.
- Excellent clinical and communication skills.
- An enthusiastic approach to encouraging and motivating people.
- The ability to work confidently on your own initiative.
- A good standard of digital skills.
To succeed in this role, you must have a first-level nursing registration with a valid NMC PIN. Post-registration experience and/or training or qualifications are desirable. A salary of £22.30 per hour reflects your expertise and commitment to delivering exceptional care.
