Job Title: Estates Manager Lead

The NHS is seeking an experienced Estates Manager Lead to play a key role in transforming the healthcare landscape in South-West London. As a senior member of the Estates team, you will be responsible for leading the development and implementation of estates strategies that support the delivery of high-quality patient care.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Develop and deliver the South-West London estates and infrastructure strategy, in collaboration with the Deputy Director of Estates and other stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with partner organisations to ensure that local estates strategies and plans align with the South-West London infrastructure strategy.
  • Lead the delivery of estates projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to a high standard.
  • Project manage the delivery of priority projects, including place-based and South-West London projects.
  • Work with local partners to ensure that community and primary care projects are adequately resourced.
  • Evaluate and monitor all sites to support long-term disposals and utilisation.
  • Lead negotiations on new developments to secure maximum contributions.
  • Form and implement robust governance and delivery plans to support priorities.
  • Lead the local estates forums in the three Places.
  • Report transparently on a monthly basis to the local estates forums and South-West London forums.
Requirements:
  • Educated to masters level or equivalent level of experience in a specialist area.
  • Extensive knowledge of specialist areas, acquired through postgraduate diploma or equivalent experience or training.
  • Evidence of continued professional development.
Key Skills and Abilities:
  • Developed communication skills for delivering key messages to a range of stakeholders.
  • Ability to identify risks, anticipate issues, and create solutions.
  • Ability to work without supervision, providing specialist advice to the organisation.
