We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Support Worker to join our specialist provision attached to an outstanding primary school in Bournemouth, Dorset.

As a Support Worker, you will become an integral part of our team, working within our Key Stage 1 provision to support a class of 9 pupils with varied educational needs.

Your role will involve providing tailored support to children with Autism Spectrum Conditions (ASC) to enhance their learning and personal development.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Assisting the teacher in planning and delivering inclusive and engaging lessons that meet the individual needs of the pupils.
  • Encouraging the social and emotional development of pupils, fostering independence and confidence.
  • Working closely with the SLT and other professionals to monitor and support the pupils' progress.
  • Maintaining accurate records of the pupils' development, reporting any concerns to the relevant personnel.

The successful candidate will have prior experience working with children with SEND, particularly those with ASC, and an NVQ Level 2/3 or equivalent in Teaching Assistance or a related field.

The salary for this role is approximately £25,000 - £30,000 per annum, depending on experience and qualifications.
