We are seeking a skilled Credit Research Analyst to join our team in London.

About the Role

This is a newly created position due to the growth of our asset base and an expanding investment team in our London office.

You will be responsible for conducting fundamental and relative value analysis on an independent basis, with full responsibility for assigned industries and credits within these industries.

  • Conduct comprehensive credit analysis on a portfolio of non-financial names, focusing primarily on issues in Sterling.
  • Undertake relative value analysis at both issuer and issue levels to inform buy, hold, reduce or sell recommendations within portfolio constraints.
  • Provide detailed investment recommendations to UK and US-based Portfolio Managers.
  • Participate in investment discussions and contribute towards our credit team's sector outlook.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with company management, sell-side analysts, rating agencies, and industry experts to further sector knowledge and inform investment recommendations.
About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • A minimum of 4-7 years' relevant fundamental credit analysis experience, preferably from an asset management/insurance background. Rating agency and sell-side experience will also be considered.
  • Ideal experience covering the utilities and transportation sectors.
  • The ability to think like an investor, comfortable discussing investment recommendations to senior management.
  • A degree education, preferably in Economics, Finance, Business, or a related field.
  • CFA or other relevant professional qualifications.
  • A collegiate mentality, able to work in a small team environment.
  • An enthusiastic and can-do attitude.

£65,000 - £80,000 per annum, dependent on experience, plus benefits.
