We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Electrical and Mechanical Technician to join our team at Thames Water. As an Electrical and Mechanical Technician, you will be responsible for performing a range of assigned front-line maintenance and operational activities on our sewage pumping stations in Camberley, Surrey.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Performing planned and preventative maintenance of sewage pumping stations to support the operation of our assets.
- Responding to emergency alarms and taking prompt action to resolve issues.
- Working as part of a team to ensure the smooth operation of our sewage pumping stations.
- Participating in a 1-week in every 6 weeks out-of-hours emergency standby rota, for which you will receive additional payments.
Requirements:
- ONC/HNC in engineering, NVQ, or C&G level 3 in Electrical engineering.
- A valid driving license is essential.
- Previous experience in an electrical apprenticeship, with an 18th Edition qualification beneficial.
- Knowledge and awareness of health and safety issues are crucial.
- Be a time-served apprentice with significant experience in electrical systems ideally working in a "true multi-skilled" capacity.
- Be a self-motivated individual.
- Take Ownership of responding quickly to faults, being curious to fully comprehend the problem, and identifying the best solution to resolve it the first time.
- Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, to interact with the team.
- Deliver exceptional service through a passionate and positive approach, taking accountability for your role while working accurately and flexibly within a busy team.
- Be a team player – We are one team, and our end goals are the same.
- Proactive – take the lead on recommendations and improvements around the site and convey them effectively.

- Competitive salary up to £39,000 per annum depending on your level of experience.
- 24 days holiday per year increasing to 28 with the length of service. (Plus bank holidays).
