Electrical Technician Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Electrical Technician to join our team at Thames Water. As an Electrical Technician, you will play a critical role in maintaining and repairing our wastewater treatment plants and pumping stations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Carry out scheduled, planned, and reactive maintenance work on wastewater treatment plants and pumping stations.
  • Investigate plant failures and carry out repairs to minimize downtime.
  • Provide technical advice and support to colleagues and trainees.
  • Work independently and as part of a team to achieve maintenance and repair objectives.
Requirements:
  • 18th Edition electrical City and Guilds certification.
  • Experience in electrical systems, including maintenance, fault diagnosis, and repair.
  • Knowledge of health and safety issues relevant to the industry.
  • Ability to work in confined spaces and willingness to complete training for this.
  • Full UK driving license.
