Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Registered Nurse or Registered Allied Health Professional, such as a Paramedic, who possesses the necessary skills, knowledge, and attitude for this role. The ideal candidate will hold a Master's degree in Advanced Clinical Practice and will be dedicated to providing high-quality, holistic care to our patient population.

As an independent practitioner, you will have the ability to make autonomous decisions while benefiting from a collaborative and supportive relationship with your clinical supervisor. Your role will involve demonstrating safe and effective clinical decision-making, along with expert care that includes assessment, diagnosis, and management skills. You will be responsible for addressing acute illnesses and may also manage long-term health conditions.

Key Responsibilities

Clinical Duties:

  • Conduct assessments, diagnoses, planning, implementation, and evaluation of treatment interventions.
  • Perform clinical examinations and assess patient needs comprehensively.
  • Deliver safe, evidence-based, and cost-effective individualized patient care.
  • Facilitate direct referrals to other services or agencies as necessary.
  • Proactively identify, diagnose, monitor, and manage treatment plans.
  • Diagnose and manage acute health conditions effectively.
  • Prescribe and review medications for therapeutic effectiveness.
  • Provide guidance and information regarding prescribed and over-the-counter medications.
  • Prioritize health issues and intervene appropriately to assist patients.
  • Encourage patients to adopt health promotion strategies that foster healthy living.
  • Support public health initiatives, including vaccination programs.

  • Act as a positive role model within the team.
  • Encourage the development of colleagues to maximize their potential.
  • Promote a learning environment within the workplace.
  • Contribute to the development of local guidelines, protocols, and standards.
  • Ensure adherence to infection control principles and relevant policies.
  • Oversee the Health & Wellbeing team within the organization.

Learning & Development:

The successful candidate will engage in training programs implemented by Stalybridge, Denton & Glossop PCNs as part of their employment.

  • Understand your role and scope within the organization.
  • Work effectively as a responsible team member.
  • Accept delegations from other clinicians and contribute to team effectiveness.
