Job Overview:

This role involves working with a prestigious automotive manufacturer in the UK, where innovation meets excellence. As part of the H&S team and as the Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) officer, you'll be responsible for ensuring compliance with legislation and operational requirements.

The ideal candidate will have strong supervisory and management experience, excellent oral and written communication skills, and proficiency in MS Office. They should also be able to mentor and train others, challenge existing thinking constructively while building trust through experience and personal style.

Responsibilities include investigating and reporting accidents and incidents, conducting proactive safety measures, auditing and ensuring compliance with ISO 14001 & 45001 certifications, collaborating and communicating with diverse teams, and achieving and maintaining HSE compliance across the department.

Key Skills and Qualifications:

  • General Level Health and Safety Qualification (e.g., NEBOSH General Cert)
  • Membership in a professional body (IIRSM or IOSH)
  • Strong supervisory and management experience
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Proficiency in MS Office
