Student Support Specialist

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate individual to join our team as a Student Support Specialist. As a key member of our pastoral team, you will play a vital role in supporting our 16-19-year-old students on their learning journey.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide pastoral support to students in all aspects of their learning journey, including attendance, personal goal setting, and development.
  • Deliver tutorial content to students and contribute to the development of the tutorial program.
  • Liaise with curriculum and support staff to advocate for students and ensure they receive the right support at the right time.
  • Work collaboratively with students, staff, and parents/carers to ensure students achieve and progress to their next steps.
Requirements:
  • Good communication skills and the ability to empathize with students.
  • A basic level of digital literacy to access and use college systems.
  • Ability to work well as part of a team and collaborate with others.
  • Good listener, facilitator of learning, motivator, advocate, and role model.
