About the Role

As a Lead Accountant, you will be responsible for managing a team of tax professionals and overseeing the preparation of federal and state tax returns for individuals and companies.

Responsibilities
  1. Supervise a team of tax professionals to ensure accurate and timely preparation of tax returns.
  2. Conduct regular audits and reviews to ensure compliance with tax laws and regulations.
  3. Develop and implement policies and procedures to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
  4. Collaborate with other departments to identify opportunities for growth and improvement.
Requirements
  1. Minimum 5 years of experience in federal and state income tax, with some experience gained in public accounting.
  2. Degree in accounting or a master's in accounting or taxation.
  3. CPA license or equivalent.
  4. Excellent leadership and management skills.
  5. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  6. Effective communicator.
  7. CCH Axcess tax experience is desirable.
  8. Previous experience in the manufacturing & distribution industry is preferred.

Salary range: $80,000 - $120,000 per year.
