About the Role

The Attendance & Welfare Officer role at Hornchurch High School is a key position that requires an individual with excellent communication and organisational skills.

As a member of our Pastoral Team, you will work closely with teachers, parents, and other stakeholders to identify and support students with attendance and welfare issues.

You will develop and implement plans to improve student attendance and engagement, maintaining accurate records and reporting on student progress.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify and support students with attendance and welfare issues
  • Develop and implement plans to improve student attendance and engagement
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other stakeholders to achieve positive outcomes
  • Maintain accurate records and report on student progress

Requirements:

  • Degree in Education or related field
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
  • Able to work calmly under pressure
  • Experience working with children and young people

Salary: £30,033 per annum (full-time), Actual pro rata salary: £25,308 per annum
