This is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic teaching assistant to join our team at an alternative provision school in Gloucestershire. As a SEND Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting students with social, emotional, and mental health needs, as well as challenging behavior.
You will be based in the classroom, working predominantly with Key Stage 3 and 4 students, and will be responsible for supporting the teacher to manage behavior and ensure student engagement. Your duties will also include helping with lesson preparation and activities that cater to the needs of the students.
The school aims to provide a personalized learning experience in an inclusive environment, recognizing the value of all members of the community. We are looking for a candidate who can equip students with resilience, respect, and the ability to manage their emotions, enabling them to succeed in any classroom or social environment.
This is a full-time position, working Monday to Friday, term time only, commencing in September 2024.
