Teaching Assistant Role for SEND Pupils

About the Schools
We are working with a range of schools across South Gloucestershire that are looking for experienced Teaching Assistants to support students with additional needs. The schools offer a supportive and inclusive environment, with a focus on providing high-quality education and care to all pupils.
Main Responsibilities
- Work collaboratively with the class teacher and other staff to deliver planned interventions and ensure pupil safety and welfare is maintained at all times.
- Support individual pupils to develop positive self-regulation skills and improve their engagement with core curriculum subjects.
- Provide feedback to the SENDCo on pupil progress and contribute to the development of targeted support plans.
Requirements
- Prior experience working with young people who have additional needs, preferably in a school setting.
- Ability to adapt and use own initiative, with good listening skills and patience.
- Team Teach training or experience is desirable, as well as Education/Teaching Assistant qualification.
Estimated Salary
The estimated salary for this role is £26,000 - £31,000 per annum, depending on experience.
