Job Description: Secondary Teacher for SEMH Pupils

We are looking for a dedicated Secondary Teacher to work with pupils who have Social, Emotional, Mental Health (SEMH) needs. This role involves supporting students in a SEMH environment, working closely with the teaching team to ensure the best possible outcomes for our students.

About the Role:

  • This is a full-time, temporary position
  • Working Monday to Friday, 8:30 am - 4 pm

The School:

This SEMH school provides an ambitious and supportive curriculum for young people across key stage 3 and 4. The school offers a broad and balanced curriculum through first-class facilities and resources aimed at ensuring all students have the opportunity to achieve their full potential and progress against the outcomes in their Educational Health Care Plans (EHCPs).

Requirements:

  • Experience working with SEND children
  • Caring and positive nature
  • Able to build positive relationships with children and young people
  • Understanding of the importance of keeping young people safe

Estimated Salary: £35,000 - £45,000 per annum based on 190 days worked

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supporting students with SEMH needs in a classroom setting
  • Developing and delivering engaging lesson plans to meet the needs of all students
  • Collaborating with colleagues to ensure effective student support
