Job Title: Lead Speech and Language Therapist Learning Disability Service

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Speech and Language Therapist to join our Learning Disability Service team. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will be responsible for leading and managing the Speech and Language Therapy service, providing expert clinical leadership and guidance to our team members.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the Speech and Language Therapy service, ensuring effective service delivery and high-quality patient care.
  • Develop and implement clinical policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and standards.
  • Provide expert clinical guidance and support to team members, promoting best practice and continuous learning.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care pathways and effective communication.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of service improvement initiatives, ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care.

Requirements:

  • HCPC registration as a Speech and Language Therapist.
  • Postgraduate dysphagia training and experience in neurorehabilitation.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience at Band 7 level in a neurorehabilitation setting.
  • Supervisory experience and ability to lead and manage a team.
  • Proven ability to manage a complex caseload independently in neurorehabilitation.
