About the Role

We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Healthcare Assistant to join our team in the Emergency Department. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality patient care under the supervision of a nurse.

Main Responsibilities

Key responsibilities of the role include:

  • Providing care and support to patients in the Emergency Department
  • Assisting with cannulation and phlebotomy procedures
  • Recording ECGs and taking and monitoring blood glucose levels
  • Working effectively in a busy environment and adapting to changing situations
  • Communicating effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Qualifications and Credit Framework (QCF) Level 3 qualification in healthcare or equivalent experience
  • Previous experience in a healthcare setting, preferably in the Emergency Department
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
