About the Role

We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Healthcare Support Assistant to join our dedicated team in the Emergency Department. As a Healthcare Support Assistant, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality patient care under the supervision of a nurse.

Main Responsibilities

  • Provide support to patients with their daily needs, including personal care and hygiene
  • Assist with medical procedures and treatments, such as cannulation and phlebotomy
  • Monitor and record patient vital signs, including ECGs and blood glucose levels
  • Work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team to achieve patient goals and outcomes
  • Contribute to a positive and supportive team environment

Requirements

  • Previous experience in a healthcare setting, preferably in an Emergency Department
  • Qualifications and Credit Framework (QCF) Level 3 in healthcare or equivalent international qualification
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing situations
  • Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including evenings and weekends
