About the Opportunity:

Join The Advocate Group as a Payroll Specialist and take on a challenging role that requires attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and excellent communication abilities.

You will be responsible for managing payroll processes for the EMEA region, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with relevant laws and regulations.

The ideal candidate will have a background in payroll management, preferably with experience in the energy industry. They will also possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Verify payroll data for EMEA before sending it to the payroll team.
  • Coordinate with payroll partners to ensure accurate and timely payment of salaries, benefits, and taxes.
  • Prepare payment files for salaries, benefits, and taxes (like PAYE, NI, Pensions, Medical, etc.).
  • Manage pension and medical benefits for different countries, and collaborate with Compensation & Benefits and Finance when needed.
  • Review payroll reports thoroughly and identify any discrepancies.
  • Communicate with payroll bureaus and third-party vendors to approve payrolls.
  • Update SAP data with employee details and test payment uploads before payday (if using SAP).
  • Create payment templates for new starters, medical joiners, and pension joiners. Verify new tax rates and tables with bureaus and vendors annually.
  • Track SLAs with payroll bureaus for your countries and attend regular vendor meetings.

Requirements:

  • At least 5 years' experience in payroll management.
  • Strong knowledge of MS Word, Outlook, and Excel.

Salary and Benefits:

  • A salary range of £45,000 - £65,000 per annum, dependent on experience.
