Senior Child Development Specialist

About the RoleThis permanent position offers a competitive salary of up to £45,955 per annum.
Key Responsibilities- To conduct in-depth family assessments to identify social needs and risks to children, focusing on parental capacity and potential for change.
- To utilize reflective supervision, research, and expert guidance to recognize professional limitations and seek advice from senior staff, Advanced Practitioners, and other clinical professionals.
- To provide realistic child-centered plans within a review timeline, reducing identified risks and meeting the child's needs. These plans must be evidence-informed, demonstrate clear analysis, and showcase professional judgment and decision-making skills.
- To stay up-to-date with child development knowledge, including physical, cognitive, social, emotional, and behavioral development, as well as adult behaviors such as mental health, domestic abuse, and substance misuse.
- To maintain accurate case notes and records for children under their responsibility.
- To prioritize safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and vulnerable adults.
- To engage in continuous professional development to enhance skills and expertise.
